Amber Lingenfelter '13

Amber Lingenfelter is the Special Projects Manager of Willow Domestic Violence Center (formerly Alternatives for Battered Women), which reaches over 7,500 clients each year in Monroe County through its 24/7 crisis Hotline, 49 bed emergency shelter, court services and Counseling Center.  Amber is spearheading the opening of Willow’s new Pet Area, allowing survivor’s and their companion pet to find safety and shelter together.  Before joining Willow, Amber helped veterans with disabilities open up their own businesses, through the Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) in Syracuse.

A Buffalonian at heart, Amber holds a Bachelors from Syracuse University in Hospitality Management, with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Nonprofit Management.  Amber is an active member of the NextGen Giving Circle.  If Amber isn’t on a ski slope or traveling to exploring a foreign land, you can bet she’s dedicating her time to Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership- mentoring sophomores in high school on how to think, not what to think.  Amber joined the SU Rochester Alumni Board in 2017.
