BRAVURA - The Life and Death of David Hochstein

David Hochstein was born the son of immigrant parents living in Rochester, New York at the beginning of the 20th Century. Growing up, he was soon recognized as a violin prodigy and studied with some of the finest violin teachers in the world. His future seemed set in music. But after America’s entry into the GREAT WAR in 1917, things changed for David. He became personally inspired by displays of “bravura” shown by great composers like Tchaikovsky and Beethoven. Despite the insistance of family and friends, he traded his violin for a rifle. Intermission will feature a performance by Hochstein students.

There will be a private wine and cheese reception at 6:00pm (included in ticket price) with a 7:30pm showtime and a talk back with the actors, playwright Stuart Loeb and (diehard Orange) director Don Bartalo after the performance.

$15.00 and must be reserved in advance NO LATER THAN NOVEMBER 9 by calling MuCCC @ 450-9933.
